Warning: High Geek Quotient

As you can see, I've completely overhauled the site. Again. The old design, while pretty, was also pretty broken, and I thought this simpler, more compliant design would be a little more soothing for both the eye and the browser.

A few things are still missing. I haven't skinned the news archives pages, so they're resplendent in their default MovableType glory until I fix them, which might be later tonight, if I feel like it. But who reads the news archives? Honestly? Also, the Insanity Road strips are still not up, which will definitely be remedied in the next 24 hours. It's been a fine balance between having time to get them all tidied up and webified and stuff, and actually having time to draw one each week.

Like Brendon said, it is me holding up the production side of things this year, but, in my defence, it's twice as much paper to fill, and the quality is, I think, much higher. Plus, you should see the 'scripts' I have to work with. This week's comic, for example, consists of a one-sentence description scrawled diagonally across the page. Bitter? Me?

On the plus side, the ideas are coming thick and fast for Term 2's story. I'm not at liberty to divulge details (read: we still haven't written anything concrete), but it looks pretty damn good.

Hitting the Road

The first two installments of Insanity Road have appeared in Canta magazine. So far the general response has been along the lines of 'what the--?'

This doesn't surprise me. I'm sure that people will get the hang of the new style soon enough.

On a personal note, I am thoroughly enjoying the fact that this year it isn't me cutting it fine with deadlines. Eh Matt?
